Is a direct booking interesting?

The prebooking or internet booking of diving packages is interesting, when the US Dollar currency becomes less strong against the Euro currency. For the moment this is the case and therefore prebooking let's You save money already since some months. An additional advantage is that you protect Yourself towards currency fluctuations and risks. Comparing here is a must.

Prebooked and then anyway not dived?

Assume You prebooked a diving package with us and for some reason You cannot dive? When we receive a good reason, for example sickness or ear compensation not working, then we will not charge You the prebooked diving package. Even when You already dived a part of the prebooked diving package, then we can settle these dives at resort prices. Like this You save money and You do not have to pay the complete prebooked package!

Is it possible to share diving packages?

A diving package can only be shared among divers as far as each diver already booked and dived his individual package first. For example it is not possible to divide a 10 Dives package between two people, but when two divers want to make 15 dives each then they can book a 10 Dives package each and an additional one for both of them.

Do we have special offers for diving groups?

Of course we have special group offers (starting from 7 persons) which You can request using the group offers section in our appropriate Prebooking form. Please fill in the specified parameters on this form and we will make and send you a personal offer by e-mail.

Is it possible to interrupt a Non Limit Diving package?

Normally not! The Non Limit Diving packages which can be prebooked consist of one sequence of diving days one after the other and cannot be interrupted or divided between divers. Though when facing sickness interrupts in these packages we are very flexible.

Which seasons we have on the Maldives and when can we see mantas??

The Deep Blue Water season: on the Maldives we have monsoon (the main wind direction) and also current from January untill April from the Nord West. Because our island is situated in the East part of an East atoll, we have in this season besides very good and stable weather also very good visibility (up to 50 meters and more!) accompanied by mainly stronger currents. This is for sure the best time to spot "big fish": sharks, eagle rays and much more.
The Plankton season: from July untill November the monsoon wind and the current are coming from the South West. These bring a little bit less stable weather and also many plankton (visibility from more or less 15 untill 25 meters). In this season we very regularly spot manta rays and more rarely whale sharks.
The months in between (May - June and November - December) the monsoon is changing. In this period the weather and the currents are more variable.

What is a housereef dive and what is a boat dive?

For boat diving we take you with our diving boat, also called dhonie, to a diving spot inside our atoll. Typical transfer times to the divesites are between 10 minutes to 1 hour. When organizing half day or full day trips we also go to divesites which take up to 2 hours by dhonie.
When doing a housereef dive, You can enter the divesites directly from our beach using our marked entry and exit points. We have a coral reef surrounding the entire island!

Can I dive with my certificate without diving instructor?

Divers who show us an international diving certificate (like: PADI OWD, CMAS 1 Star, SSI OWD, NAUI SD, BSAC Ocean, ....) can dive without instructor at our housereef and our easy boat dives after proof of the necessary experience. Nevertheless is it always possible to join a guided dive for all our boat dives.

What costs the Equipment when I only need to rent out a part of the diving equipment?

As well as for our internet prebookings as for our prices at the resort we can offer You diving packages with and without diving equipment. Full equipment includes a regulator with octopus and manometer, a BCD-jacket, a shorty 3 mm, a dive computer, a mask, fins and a snorkel. When You have to rent out Your equipment, we will only charge You for the parts You really need.
